Apply today for a $1,000 Mechanics Savings Bank Banking on the Future Scholarship

Apply before April 30, 2010 to be eligible for Mechanics Savings Bank Banking on the Future Scholarship. The Banking on the Future Scholarship was created to assist and reward a wide range of life experiences among student applicants. Please read the application carefully and reply completely. Scholarship Details Thirteen $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.
Eligible to apply are 2010 graduates from:

Edward Little High School Leavitt Area High School Monmouth Academy Poland High School Windham High School

Lewiston High School Lisbon High School Oak Hill High School St. Dominic Regional High School

Also eligible: 2010 graduates from any Maine high school whose family is a customer of Mechanics Savings Bank.
2010 Criteria

• Applicant must be a High School Senior planning to pursue a higher education at a 2- or 4-year college, university or technical school.


• Applicant must have a grade average of 82 or better for 3 years and be in good standing at current high school.


• Applicant must be of good moral character.

Submissions Required

1. Application that describes key accomplishments in:
   Academic, School Activities, Service to Others/Community Service/Volunteerism, Athletics, Leadership Abilities, Additional accomplishments


2. Transcripts from 3 years and first semester of senior year.


3. A 250 word essay describing what inspires you and how this will help you reach your goals in higher education and your career.


4. At least one personal recommendation from a teacher, coach, guidance counselor, advisor, community service organization or employer.


5. Send application and accompanying documentation to:
