Participating McDonald’s restaurants throughout Maine and eastern New Hampshire have extended their offer to customers to try a free small hot McCafé coffee for the next three Fridays – Feb. 13, 20 and 27. No purchase is necessary. (A complete list of participating restaurants is attached.)

Selected hot McCafe coffees will be available at participating McDonald's restaurants from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:

Friday, February 13: Small Hot Vanilla Latte
Friday, February 20: Small Hot Cappuccino
Friday, February 27: Small Hot Vanilla Latte

McCafe espresso-based coffees are the most recent additions to the McDonald's expanding beverage menu and will accompany dripped-brewed Newman's Own Organics Coffee. Since 2005, Maine McDonald's restaurants have been proud to serve high quality Newman's Own Organics Coffee from Green Mountain Roasters of Waterbury, Vermont.

McDonald's restaurants not yet serving McCafe beverages will instead be providing free small hot Newman's Own Organics Coffee from 5AM to 7AM every day through February 27. No purchase is necessary. (A complete listing of restaurants offering free Newman's Own Coffee is attached.)

In spring of 2008, Maine and eastern New Hampshire McDonald's restaurants began introducing espresso-based McCafe coffees to its menus, including lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, iced lattes and iced mochas as well as hot chocolate. All McCafe coffees are made-to-order with quality ingredients including fully ripened Arabica coffee beans to ensure consistent, quality tasting coffee. Customers can customize their McCafe with caramel, hazelnut, vanilla and sugar-free vanilla syrups as well as whole or non-fat milk. Lattes, cappuccinos and mochas are available in three sizes: small (12 ounces), medium (16 ounces) and large (22 ounces).

Premium coffee without the premium price, McCafe coffees are currently available at convenient, participating locations with more Maine McDonald restaurants to be added in the coming months. McCafe coffees are available though the drive-thru or can be enjoyed in restaurant. Customers can also enjoy McCafe coffees while surfing the web at one of McDonald's participating Wi-Fi enabled locations. A listing of McDonald's hotspots can be found at www.mcdwireless.com.
