McDonald's® in Maine and Eastern New Hampshire to Provide Relief During this Taxing Time of the Year 

Auburn, Maine
Two popular McDonald’s sandwiches are available at an incredible offer on April 15th –McDonald’s Tax Relief Day.


McDonald's restaurants in Maine and eastern New Hampshire are giving customers some financial relief on Wednesday, April 15th by offering a Big Mac® or Quarter Pounder® with Cheese* sandwich for just one penny when the first one is purchased at regular price. This offer is available at participating McDonald's restaurants only on April 15, 2009, from 10:30am to close (some stores open to midnight).

"Tax Relief Day is an opportunity for McDonald's to brighten up a day that can often be stressful by offering consumers a great buy on some of their favorite McDonald's sandwiches," states Ron Lydick, local Maine McDonald's Owner/Operator. "Tax Relief Day was created to help lift up our customers' spirits, something we all could use, especially in this tough economy."

Throughout the day on April 15th, to help lift last minute taxpayers' spirits the McDonald's UpTeam will be visiting radio stations, post offices and McDonald's restaurants. In addition to spreading the good news of the Tax Relief Day offer, the McDonald's UpTeam delivers an "Uptimistic" view of McDonald's food, restaurants and beverages, while sending the message that McDonald's can make a big difference in your day, at little cost.

In addition, several Maine McDonald's restaurants will be hosting radio station remote broadcasts on Tax Relief Day including:  
  • Bangor: McDonald's, 1105 Union St. will host WQCB Q106.5 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • Portland: McDonald's, 332 St. John Street will host WCYY-FM 94.3 with Sea Dogs Ticket give-aways from 12: 00 - 2:00 pm
  • Ellsworth: McDonald's, 259 High Street will host WBFB-FM 104.7 with give-aways from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • Augusta: McDonald's, 209 Western Avenue will host WTOS-FM 105.1 with give-aways from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
