The UpTeam is a new Street Team Promotion launched in February, 2009 with the goal to provide an optimistic, high-energy promotional event.

The UpTeam delivers an “Uptimistic” view of McDonald’s food, restaurants and beverages, while sending the message that McDonald’s can make a big difference in your day, at little cost.

The UpTeam works to promote the entire McDonald’s product line. In 2009, the focus will be on promotion of the New McCafe products. The goal is to drive trial and sales of new McCafes® and coffee business throughout Maine as well as to create buzz and excitement about the beverage offerings of McCafe.

The UpTeam communicates to guests that the Cup is Half Full.

Result

The UpTeam launched in February, 2009 UP North at Big Rock Mountain in Mars Hill, Maine. The UpTeam has also made appearances at Sunday River in Newry and at the 2009 Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games.

To date, they have lifted UP consumers spirits with over 2,000 coupons for McDonald's Products.
